We are back in The Independent, in an article by @JeremyLaurance on the Genetics of Anorexia. The article explores the idea of "inheritance" - genetic "risk" may be inherited, not an illness, of course, and genetic link is already demonstrated - what we need is that large sample size to give us the best chance possible of establishing which specific genes are involved and how.
What we need? - DNA donors - volunteers who have had a diagnosis of anorexia at any time in their lives to donate to the AN25K challenge - you can register to do this via Charlotte's Helix here. We also need to raise funds for those DNA samples to be collected and processed - there is no existing dedicated funding for this research in the UK other than that which we are raising to support the AN25K challenge; you can help "Fund the Helix" here. We need your help!
Thank you to The @Independent for bringing us to the attention of a wider population.
