Thank you for your birthdays, best wishes, and donations.

Every day we get a bit closer to our goal: funding the UK arm of AN25K.

75 people's DNA tests funded already: how about you?

As you know, Charlotte's Helix wants to add at least 1,000 samples to the international database of DNA samples called AN25K. How are we doing? Fantastic!

In just a few weeks all of us have raised about enough to fund around 80 people's tests. 80 people who would not otherwise be counted toward the total we need for the international challenge to be successful. That is a significant contribution, but we'll need to find donations to cover hundreds more before we can begin. Have you donated yet?

The donations are coming in by credit card, check, and checque; from the US and the UK, and from sources around the world. They are coming from families who have been touched by eating disorders but also from their friends and family. We're hearing from patients, brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, grandparents, colleagues, neighbors... People care. People care!

And this is how it is done, friends. We want to crack the code for eating disorders so we can improve treatment, save lives, return young people to their goals and giggles and futures. If we don't do this, it won't happen: be part of it.

For more information on the Helix, read a Huffington Post article telling the world about Charlotte and the Helix, and make sure to "Like" our Facebook page and subscribe to our Twitter feed.

If you are wondering why your contribution, Like, Tweet, and birthday donation matter, read this: Skip a Latte, Bring Your Lunch.

As for Charlotte, her pastime this week, aside from saving lives of children, is chickens. For you, Charlotte!

Bloggers!

Charlotte's Helix needs your support. Please join the Helix by adding a helix button to your blog sidebar. Then email the helix to be added to the Helix blogroll: info@charlotteshelix.net

We're crowdsourcing research, my friends. With the support and kindness of her friends, Charlotte's Helix is working to change medical history.

Believe in it? Join it!

Need help figuring out how to add it? Email me at Laura@charlotteshelix.net

And who do we have to thank for this button project? Cate, for creating the button after Carrie put out the call. Americans working with Australians to work with our original countrymen, the British!

Add the code in the box below to put the button on your blog: and wear it proudly!
